ICCT-Z70 Digital Conference Controller: Engineered for Reliable Meetings
The most critical device in a conference room is often the one participants never see: the digital conference controller inside the equipment rack.
A faulty microphone can be replaced, and another display can be used if a projector fails. But when the central controller goes offline, every connected microphone may stop working.
This is why reliability was the primary design goal behind the Zhihui Cloud ICCT-Z70 digital conference controller.
Why Large Conference Systems Need Greater Reliability
Large meeting venues place significant demands on an audio system. Dozens of microphones may operate simultaneously, signal paths may extend across the venue, and electromagnetic interference can affect transmission.
Conventional conference systems may encounter several problems:
- Proprietary cables can be difficult to replace
- A single cable fault may interrupt an entire signal chain
- Long-distance analog transmission may reduce audio quality
- Adding microphones may require a system restart
- A single power-supply failure may disable the entire system
The ICCT-Z70 addresses these risks through redundancy at the transmission, power, and network-audio levels.
Ring-Network Transmission Redundancy
The ICCT-Z70 uses standard RJ45 network cables instead of proprietary conference audio cables. These cables are widely available and easier to replace, simplifying installation and maintenance.
The controller provides one output port and one backup input port, allowing compatible microphone units to form a ring-style daisy chain.
If one section of the cable path is interrupted, signals can be redirected through the other side of the ring, subject to the installed topology and configuration. This helps prevent a single cable failure from disabling every downstream microphone.
Dual PoE and AC Power Inputs
The ICCT-Z70 supports both Power over Ethernet and AC 220V power.
The two power paths can operate as a redundant supply. If one supported source becomes unavailable, the other can continue supplying the system according to the deployment configuration.
This added protection is particularly valuable for government meetings, emergency command centers, executive conferences, judicial proceedings, and other events where an unexpected interruption would have serious consequences.
Native Dante and AES67 Integration
The ICCT-Z70 integrates Dante and AES67 network-audio protocols.
This allows the controller to transmit and manage digital audio over a standard IP network and connect with appropriately configured compatible equipment, including:
- Digital signal processors
- Audio mixers
- Recording systems
- Amplifiers
- Video conferencing equipment
- Broadcast and streaming systems
Digital audio over IP helps maintain consistent signal quality across longer transmission paths within a properly designed network.
It also allows authorized technicians to manage audio routing from a connected computer, reducing the need to rewire physical signal connections whenever the room configuration changes.
Hot-Plug Microphone Expansion
Compatible microphone units can be connected while the system is operating.
If an additional speaking position is required during a meeting, the unit can be added without restarting the entire system. This is useful when seating arrangements change, new participants arrive, or a microphone needs to be replaced.
Selectable Audio Sampling Rates
The controller supports both 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sampling rates.
The 48 kHz option is widely used in professional conferencing, video, recording, and broadcasting. It helps preserve speech clarity when the controller is used with suitable microphones and audio equipment.
Optional Wall-Mounted Control Screen
An optional four-inch touchscreen allows meeting administrators or technicians to control common functions from inside the room.
Available controls include:
- System volume
- Number of active microphones
- Normal speaking mode
- First-in, first-out mode
- Free speaking mode
- Request-to-speak mode
The number of active speaking units can be set to one, two, four, or six according to the meeting requirements.
Centralized Multi-Room Management
The ICCT-Z70 supports IP-based address assignment and distributed management.
Multiple controllers can be connected through the network and managed from a centralized platform. This helps organizations operate several meeting rooms without managing each controller as an isolated device.
The architecture is suitable for government buildings, corporate headquarters, universities, conference centers, hotels, and other multi-room environments.

Large Conference Venues
Ring-network redundancy and digital network audio make the controller suitable for venues with numerous microphones and extended transmission paths.
Government and Executive Meetings
Dual power inputs, automatic path recovery, and hot-plug support help reduce avoidable interruptions during important meetings.
Emergency Command Rooms
The redundant architecture and centralized management capabilities support environments where communication availability is essential.
Existing Professional Audio Systems
Dante and AES67 support allow the controller to integrate with compatible network-audio equipment without replacing the complete audio system.
Multi-Room Installations
Organizations can manage multiple controllers through an IP network, simplifying maintenance across different meeting rooms.
Reliability at the Core of the Conference System
A digital conference controller is the heart of the conference audio system. Although it normally remains out of sight, every connected microphone and audio route depends on its operation.
The Zhihui Cloud ICCT-Z70 improves system resilience through three principal design features:
- Ring-network transmission redundancy
- Dual PoE and AC power inputs
- Native Dante and AES67 integration
Hot-plug expansion, selectable sampling rates, optional in-room control, and centralized IP management provide additional flexibility for professional meeting environments.
The ICCT-Z70 is designed not simply to operate under normal conditions, but to help the conference audio system remain stable and manageable when reliability matters most.
